Kawasaki has officially unveiled the 2026 Eliminator 400 in Japan, and it’s generating buzz for all the right reasons. This isn’t just a cosmetic upgrade—it’s a reimagined version of a legendary cruiser, now with modern tech and features aimed at today’s connected riders. With three variants on offer—the Standard, SE, and Plaza Edition—the Eliminator 400 is poised to attract a wide range of buyers, from daily commuters to collectors.

At the heart of the Eliminator 400 lies a 398cc liquid-cooled DOHC parallel-twin engine, borrowed from the Ninja 400. It delivers 48 PS at 10,000 rpm and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The seat height is a low 735 mm, making it beginner-friendly, and fuel efficiency is rated at an impressive 25.7 km/l. For urban riders and highway cruisers alike, this motorcycle checks many boxes in terms of performance and comfort.

The Standard variant comes in Pearl Lava Orange and Metallic Flat Spark Black—two classy shades that suit its no-nonsense design. For those who want more, the SE edition includes a headlight cowl, fork gaiters, a premium two-tone leather seat, and a factory-fitted dashcam system (front and rear) with GPS. It also offers a USB-C port for charging devices on the go. A new Urban City White color adds a modern touch to its styling.

Then there’s the Plaza Edition, a Japan-exclusive offering that shares features with the SE but adds a stunning red-on-black paint scheme. It’s aimed at riders looking for exclusivity and style.

Prices in Japan start at ¥858,000 (around ₹4.7 lakh) for the Standard, ¥957,000 (₹5.2 lakh) for the SE, and ¥913,000 (₹4.9 lakh) for the Plaza Edition. All variants will be available starting July 15, 2025.

From our perspective, the 2026 Kawasaki Eliminator 400 is one of the most exciting cruiser offerings in the mid-size segment. With tech-loaded features, timeless design, and an accessible price point, it has the potential to be a game-changer—especially if Kawasaki brings it to the Indian market under ₹6 lakh. The addition of dashcams and GPS as standard equipment is a forward-thinking move that other brands may soon follow.
