OnePlus has announced the launch of a powerful smartphone under its Ace series, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition. This smartphone has been specially designed keeping in mind gaming and high-performance enthusiasts. It features MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9400e chipset.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will be launched in China on 27 May 2025. The company shared this information through its official Weibo account. The launch event will take place at 2:30 PM China time. This smartphone will be introduced alongside the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, and both devices will be based on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 series processor. However, this smartphone will be exclusive to China only, and no information has been provided about its global availability yet.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition features a 6.77-inch LTPS OLED display with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels (1.5K) and a 120Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for smooth scrolling and gaming.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset along with the “Fengchi” gaming chip, “Lingxi” touch chip, and G1 gaming Wi-Fi chip. This combination guarantees that there will be no lag or connectivity issues while gaming.

The phone will be available in 12GB and 16GB RAM variants, with 256GB and 512GB storage options. LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage technology make it extremely fast.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition has a 50MP primary sensor that comes with OIS (optical image stabilization). It is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 16MP camera on the front, which is sufficient for high-quality selfies and video calling.

The phone has a large 7,000mAh battery, with a rated capacity of 6,930mAh. It supports 100W fast charging. This smartphone will be available in three colors – Wilderness Green, Chasing Waves White, and Rock Black. The phone weighs 199 grams and is just 8.27mm thick. It features an in-display fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, and a central punch-hole design with a flat OLED display. Talking about the software, it runs on Android 15-based ColorOS 15.
The OnePlus Ace series is usually limited to China, and there is no official confirmation yet about the launch of this smartphone in India. Although some reports suggest that it may be rebranded and launched in India as the OnePlus Nord CE 5, its specifications may change.
