Recently, a new leak surfaced about Google’s Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, revealing interesting information about the new chipset in these smartphones and their color options. Let’s explore what could be special about the Pixel 10 series this time.

Google is going to use its latest Tensor G5 chipset in the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, which will be completely different from the earlier Tensor chips. Until now, Tensor chips such as Tensor G4 were made using Samsung Foundry’s 4nm process.

But this time, Google has partnered with TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company), leaving Samsung. This new chip will be made using TSMC’s 3nm N3E process, which is the same technology used in Apple’s A18 Pro and M4 chips.

The biggest advantage of TSMC’s 3nm process is that it can deliver about a 43% increase in multi-core performance. The Tensor G5 chip will include one ARM Cortex-X4 Prime core, five Cortex-A725 performance cores, and two Cortex-A520 efficiency cores.

However, some tech experts believe that the performance of the Tensor G5 may lag behind high-end chipsets like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite or MediaTek Dimensity 9400. But Google’s focus is on improving the AI experience and user interface rather than achieving high benchmark scores.

Color Options of Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro

This time, the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro are expected to be available in four attractive colors. The Pixel 10 may be offered in Obsidian (classic black), Blue, Iris (purple), and Limoncello (bright yellow). Obsidian is a classic black shade, seen in almost every Pixel series. Blue will be a new shade of blue.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL will also come in Obsidian (black), along with three new colors — Green, Sterling (gray), and Porcelain (white). Porcelain will be a classic white color that reflects the premium look of the Pro models.

While the Pixel 10 uses bright and bold colors in its wallpapers, the Pro models feature muted and dark tones like beige, green, blue, and black, giving the devices a premium and elegant look.

Design, Camera, and Launch Information

There won’t be many major design changes in the Pixel 10 series. The Pixel 10 and 10 Pro will have a 6.3-inch display, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL may have a larger 6.8-inch display. The Pro models will have glossy sides, and the base models will have a matte finish, designed to suit every user’s preference.

Regarding the camera setup, the Pixel 10 will have a triple-lens camera system, which will include a telephoto lens. The Pro models will retain the camera setup from the previous series. Google will use its custom ISP (Image Signal Processor), which will improve image processing and AI-based camera features.

The Google Pixel 10 series is expected to launch in August 2025, which is a slightly earlier timeframe than previous years. These devices are expected to be available in the market by early September.
