OPPO is back in the spotlight, and this time the reason is its upcoming premium smartphone, the Reno 14 Series. After a stellar debut in China, this series is now ready to make its way into the Malaysian market. On June 13, 2025, OPPO Malaysia shared a teaser on its social media handle, clearly indicating that the OPPO Reno14 Series 5G is launching very soon.
The teaser, filled with water droplets and phrases like “make a splash,” hinted at more than just design or performance – it marked the beginning of a major shift. This series was also referred to as OPPO AI Phone – a clear signal that the focus this time is not just on hardware but also on smart AI camera features and advanced imaging.

OPPO’s new smartphone will resemble an iPhone at first glance – square camera module, flat frame, and a glossy finish. But the moment you hold it, you’ll feel OPPO’s signature style and distinct flavor. The series will be available in four colors with unique names like “Mermaid Princess” and “Half Summer,” bringing something fresh and unique.
The camera module houses two large sensors and an additional lens within a pill-shaped cutout – building high expectations for camera performance.

The Reno 14 comes with a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display, while the Reno 14 Pro offers a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen. Both models feature a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling and a better gaming experience.
In terms of chipsets, the Reno 14 may come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 or 8400, while the Pro model is expected to sport the Dimensity 8450 – a chipset powerful enough to rival Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon chips.

The camera setup is extremely powerful – featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. Moreover, the Pro model will also offer 3.5x periscope telephoto zoom. For selfies, both phones include a 50MP AI-enabled front camera.
Smarter AI Features
OPPO has made a huge leap in terms of battery life. The Reno 14 packs a 6000mAh battery, while the Pro version features a 6200mAh battery – both supporting 80W fast charging.
The camera system integrates new AI features based on the “Three Wishes” theme – offering Apple-style Live Photos, vlogging quality similar to DJI Osmo, and a retro vibe akin to CCD cameras. The AI Live Photo and AI Editor features from the Reno 13 series have been further enhanced this time.
Malaysia Before India
While sales have already begun in China, the official launch date for Malaysia has not yet been revealed. However, experts believe the series might be officially launched by the end of June or early July.
As for the price, the Reno 14 is expected to range between MYR 1,734 and MYR 2,369, which roughly converts to ₹34,000 to ₹46,000 in Indian currency. After the launch, it will be available both online and offline.
Focus on Ecosystem
With the Reno 14 Series, OPPO is also planning to launch the OPPO Enco Clip open-earbuds and the OPPO Pad SE tablet. This clearly indicates that OPPO doesn’t want to remain just a smartphone brand anymore – it aims to offer a complete digital ecosystem experience.
In China, this series was promoted alongside K-pop star Song Yuqi from (G)I-DLE. Hence, similar high-profile promotions are expected in Malaysia as well.
