According to the latest leaks, the OnePlus next flagship smartphone will be called the OnePlus Ace 6T. Earlier, it was rumoured to launch as the Ace 6 Pro Max, but the name has now been confirmed. Tech blogger Digital Chat Station claims that this device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, making it the most powerful OnePlus phone ever built.
Reports suggest that instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the Ace 6T will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, built on TSMC’s next-gen 3nm N3P process. The chip is said to feature a 2×3.8GHz + 6×3.32GHz Orion CPU configuration paired with an Adreno 840 GPU. Benchmark leaks reveal an AnTuTu score of over 3.3 million, along with Geekbench 6 scores of 3000 (single-core) and 10,000 (multi-core), an impressive leap over current-gen flagships.
In the battery department, OnePlus is going all out. The Ace 6T reportedly packs an 8000mAh+ battery, marking a huge step up in endurance. There are also rumors of a special co-branded edition being planned for launch.
Expected to Launch in December
Sources indicate that Qualcomm will officially unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset by the end of this month. Following that, the OnePlus Ace 6T is expected to launch in December. Interestingly, the ‘T’ in its name doesn’t stand for “Turbo”, instead, it represents OnePlus’s Pure Performance DNA, emphasizing both speed and stability.
Other Brands Joining the Race
It’s not just OnePlus, several major brands like Vivo, iQOO, Motorola, and Meizu are also preparing to equip their next flagships with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. All in all, the OnePlus Ace 6T is shaping up to set a new benchmark for “power and efficiency” in the smartphone world. If everything goes as planned, its December debut is going to be one of the most explosive launches of the year.
