Apple latest iPhone 17 series users are facing a major problem according to a new report by tech media platform PiunikaWeb. Some iPhone 17 users have reported continuous issues with wired CarPlay connections These include screen pixelation system crashes and frequent disconnections. problem has also been seen in well-known car brands like Mercedes-Benz and Ford.

Many users said that as soon as they connect their iPhone 17 to the car. CarPlay interface becomes blurry and pixelated. issue gets worse especially while using navigation mode. Some users also mentioned that system suddenly crashes music playback stops and within a few minutes connection breaks without any reason.

Media reports suggest that the problem could be due to a compatibility issue between new hardware of iPhone 17 and iOS 26 system. Interestingly, users who installed iOS 26 on iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 did not face any such issues. This clearly indicates that root cause might not be only software, but also hardware of iPhone 17 series.

Initially, this issue was reported by Mercedes-Benz owners, but now reports say that users of Ford Fusion, F-150, and Vauxhall/Opel Astra models are also facing same problem.

Many users contacted Apple Support, but responses were conflicting. Some were told that it was a “Mercedes-Benz issue,” while others were informed by Apple that “iOS 26 has a known bug” which would be fixed in an “upcoming software update.”

So far, users have tried changing cables, resetting settings, and restoring system, but nothing has worked. Apple has not yet given any official statement on this bug. It is expected that company will fix this issue in an upcoming iOS update.

In short, this CarPlay issue has become a real headache for iPhone 17 series users. Those who connect their iPhones to cars should stay cautious for now because bug is still active and permanent fix is still awaited.
