Apple has finally sent out official invitations for its next big event. The event will be held on September 9, 2025, at 10 AM PT, where the company will unveil its new iPhone 17 series. The launch tagline is “Awe Dropping”, clearly hinting that Apple is bringing something special this time.

What’s special in the iPhone 17 series?

This time, Apple will introduce four models – the base iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and an all-new model iPhone 17 Air, which will feature a slimmer design.

According to Bloomberg, the standard iPhone 17’s design won’t differ much from the iPhone 16, but it will come with a larger display and an improved camera setup. On the other hand, the Pro and Pro Max models will feature a redesigned back panel, where the camera module will stretch across the entire width of the phone.

The biggest change – iPhone 17 Air

For the first time, Apple is set to introduce a slim iPhone named iPhone 17 Air. Its design will be about 2mm thinner than current iPhones. However, this slimness comes at a cost – the battery life will be slightly shorter, and it will feature only a single rear camera. Still, Apple believes its lightweight and stylish design will attract new buyers.

Some pricing information has also surfaced:

  • iPhone 17 – starting at $799 (Rs. 70000)
  • iPhone 17 Pro – $1,099 (Rs. 95000)

  • iPhone 17 Air – between $899 and $1,299 (Rs 80000 to 120000)

In India, prices may be slightly higher due to taxes and import duties.

At this event, Apple won’t just launch iPhones but will also update its Apple Watch lineup. Reports suggest the company will announce the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE 3.

In addition, Apple has already prepared a long product roadmap for 2026, which includes a faster Vision Pro headset, iPad Pro with the new M5 chip, and updated versions of the HomePod mini and Apple TV.
