Big news for Apple Watch fans, according to recent reports, Apple is gearing up to launch its next premium smartwatch, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, by the end of this year. Analyst Jeff Pu from GF Securities has revealed that the smartwatch could launch alongside the Apple Watch Series 11 and possibly the iPhone 17 Series during Apple’s annual fall event.
No Major Update in Two Years
The Apple Watch Ultra lineup hasn’t seen any major hardware upgrades in nearly two years. In 2024, Apple only introduced a Black Titanium color variant for the Ultra 2, a purely cosmetic change. That means by the time the Ultra 3 arrives, it will have been nearly two years since the last significant update.

Reports suggest that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 could come packed with Satellite Connectivity and 5G support. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman predicts that these powerful new features could make the Ultra 3 a major leap forward and set a new standard for future wearables.
According to IT Home, Jeff Pu’s prediction aligns with other industry analysts. Many experts believe that Apple might update its entire Apple Watch lineup at this year’s fall event. That means we could see both the Ultra 3 and Series 11 launching together with impressive new upgrades. Jeff Pu also claims that Apple may finally introduce its long-rumored HomePod Tablet this year. However, AirPods Pro 3 could be delayed until 2026, which differs from some other recent forecasts.
If you’re still using the first-generation Apple Watch Ultra, your wait may soon be over. After nearly two years of development, the Ultra 3 is expected to bring significant improvements in performance, features, and connectivity, offering much more than a typical annual refresh.
