Huawei has officially confirmed that it will unveil the upcoming Huawei Pura 80 Series through a press conference on June 11, 2025. However, the company’s online store and channel dealers have already started pre-bookings, and according to reports, over 55k consumers have already registered their reservations.
According to Huawei Terminal, reservations for the Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro+ opened on June 5 at 10:08 AM. Within just two and a half hours, the number of reservations exceeded 40,000, surpassing 55,000 by 1:30 PM. As per the conditions on Huawei Mall, customers who pay a 100 yuan deposit will receive priority delivery, and the amount can be refunded if desired.

The reservation process for the Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ variants will end on June 11 at 2:30 PM. Full-payment-based pre-sale will begin the same day at 6:08 PM. According to Huawei’s promotional poster, the first official teaser for the Pura 80 Pro+ design has been released, showcasing a curved metal frame and a large camera module.

Huawei claims that the Pura 80 Series will feature a “natural texture glaze” and a new “light and shadow frame” design. Like the previous generation, the camera module retains a vane-shaped design, but this time the lens size and module area have been increased.
According to leaked information, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra will, for the first time, use a domestically developed 1-inch super-sized RYYB sensor. It will also include a 50MP telephoto periscope lens with a dual-lens setup and a 1/1.3-inch sensor. This camera system is said to support both standard and ultra-long-range zoom.

HarmonyOS 5 and Other Products
The new Pura 80 Series will come pre-installed with Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS 5 (Hongmeng). Reports suggest that the company will launch four variants this time: Standard, Pro, Pro+, and Ultra. Among these, availability for the Pura 80 and Ultra versions may be slightly delayed.
Huawei’s event on June 11 won’t be limited to smartphones alone. The company will also unveil other devices like the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2, Huawei Watch 5 Series, and Huawei Smart Glasses. Huawei has described this as a step towards a “person-car-home” smart ecosystem.
Huawei’s Sales Numbers and Market Position
Experts state that the Pura 70 Series, launched in April 2024, has already surpassed 13 million units in total shipments. This figure was achieved within three months, compared to the P60 Series. According to agency estimates, Huawei’s Pura and Mate Series have significantly strengthened the company’s position in the high-end smartphone segment.
