Discussions around the highly anticipated iPhone 17 series are heating up, and now prominent blogger WHYLAB has shared the latest detailed mockup version of the iPhone 17 Air, which is said to be incredibly close to Apple’s final refined design. This realistic mockup clearly showcases the iPhone 17 Air’s sleek external design, minimalist camera setup, and premium form factor—and its early reveal has sparked major excitement in the global tech community.
This new futuristic variant focuses on an ultra-lightweight and extremely slim design. Reports suggest the device will feature a horizontal strip-style rear camera module housing just a single, high-resolution 48MP sensor. This new-age camera layout appears to be inspired by the modern aesthetic of the Google Pixel 9.

The iPhone 17 Air mockup reveals that the device will arrive with an eSIM-only configuration. Thanks to its ultra-thin chassis, a traditional physical SIM card slot has been removed, allowing internal space to be used far more efficiently. Apple has been steadily pushing eSIM technology for years, and now it seems ready for a large-scale global rollout.

According to WHYLAB, the iPhone 17 Air will be powered by Apple’s next-generation A19 chipset and will include a generous 12GB of RAM, which will elevate the device’s performance to an entirely new level. However, the battery capacity may remain under 3000mAh, a reasonable compromise for its ultra-slim, lightweight profile.
Classic physical buttons like tactile volume controls, responsive operation button, dedicated camera button, and the universal USB-C port will remain intact, preserving the iconic and familiar iPhone user experience.
