With curved displays and high-brightness panels once reserved for premium flagships, smartphone makers are now introducing these features into more affordable models. iQOO’s latest addition to its Z-series, the Z10R, appears to be part of that shift—blurring the line between mid-range and high-end.
According to official listings, the iQOO Z10R comes equipped with a 6.77-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1800 nits brightness. It is protected by SCHOTT Xensation glass, a feature typically associated with upper-tier devices.
Under the hood, the Z10R is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It runs on Android 15 (FunTouch OS 15) out of the box, and iQOO promises 2 years of Android updates along with 3 years of security patches.
The rear camera system includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, while a 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. The device also integrates a 5,700mAh battery supporting 44W fast charging, and it is one of the rare models in this range to feature IP68 and IP69 ingress protection, as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Z10R is being offered in three variants:
- 8GB + 128GB at ₹19,499 (₹17,499 with introductory offer)
- 8GB + 256GB at ₹21,499
- 12GB + 256GB at ₹23,499
While the Z10R checks several boxes—curved AMOLED, IP-rated body, and strong performance hardware—there’s no official confirmation yet on whether iQOO plans to expand this IP-rated design approach to its future lineup.
What is evident, however, is that the line separating budget and flagship experiences is narrowing, and devices like the Z10R suggest that mid-range smartphones are now being built with a much broader audience in mind—one that no longer settles for the basics.
