OnePlus 15: OnePlus’s president, Li Jie has made a big revelation about the upcoming OnePlus 15 smartphone’s new 165Hz Ultra High Refresh Oriental Screen 3.0. He said that the real 1nit minimum brightness is not just a marketing term but a major improvement in how people use their phones at night.

Li Jie explained that many users use their phones at night with the lights off but traditional screens are so bright that they cause eye strain tiredness and even disturb people around especially families with small children or sleeping members. Most phones cannot lower their minimum brightness below 2nits, which makes the display uncomfortable even in dark rooms.

Li Jie mentioned on Weibo that achieving 1nit is not just about numbers but a technical challenge. At such low brightness, the display current becomes very weak and unstable causing issues like color distortion and uneven brightness. To solve these problems, OnePlus has worked on new emissive materials, stable current circuit design, precise color calibration, and redesigned driver algorithms. That’s why the OnePlus 15’s screen supports a Full-Scene Hardware-Level 1nit Display meaning it’s a real low-brightness experience at the hardware level, not just a software trick.

According to reports, the 165Hz Oriental Screen of OnePlus 15 is considered the best in the industry in terms of brightness uniformity, color accuracy, and grayscale performance. Li Jie claimed that its performance is even better than the rival Pro Max and S25 Ultra. According to him, phone screen that stays stable even at 1nit shows true quality.

At BOE’s OLED product event held on October 14, the company officially introduced the Dongfang Screen 3.0. This display was jointly developed by BOE, OPPO, and OnePlus, and it includes 165Hz high resolution, True Hardware 1nit Dark Night Display, LTPO 2.0 Adaptive Frequency Conversion, and a 1.15mm ultra-narrow edge design.

As per official information, OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6 will be launched by the company on October 27 at 7 PM. These phones will be available in Original Sand Dune, Absolute Black, and Mist Light Purple colors. Among them, Absolute Black features Full Matte Silk Glass with 3.7% ultra-low reflectivity, while Mist Light Purple uses Two-Dimensional Flowing Glass technology that changes color with light.

In short, the 1nit Display Feature of OnePlus 15 is not just a specification but a technological step that is going to completely change the night viewing experience.
