Qualcomm has officially confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Snapdragon X Elite 2 processors will be launched between September 23 and 25, 2025. Both these chipsets are a big step towards defining the next generation of performance for devices like smartphones and laptops.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is the sequel to Qualcomm’s flagship mobile processor, 8 Elite 2 will use the second-generation Orion core, which comes with 2 high-performance cores and 6 efficiency cores. this configuration will be able to maintain a balance between multitasking, gaming and power efficiency as well as the new Adreno 840 GPU will bring significant improvements in graphics performance. It will be ideal for high-resolution gaming, ray tracing, and other graphics-intensive applications

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be manufactured on TSMC’s 3nm process. this technology will make the chip more energy-efficient, thereby improving battery life and reducing heat emission. Chipset will support LPDDR6 RAM, which will provide faster data transfer rates and better multitasking capabilities. This will enable smartphones to process apps and data more quickly.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to have an AnTuTu benchmark score of around 3.8 million Along with the 8 Elite 2, Qualcomm is also set to launch the Snapdragon X Elite 2, which is specifically designed for laptops and other computing devices. While its detailed specifications are yet to be revealed, it is expected that this processor will offer desktop-level performance.
