Realme 15 Series

As smartphone makers continue to shift toward simplified product lineups without compromising on flagship-grade features, Realme’s newly launched 15 series appears to follow suit. With curved AMOLED displays, IP69 ratings, and AI enhancements, the brand is pushing premium elements into more accessible price brackets—but with a structural change.

According to the official reveal, the Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro were launched in India on July 24, replacing the previous Realme 14 series from January 2025. Notably absent from this year’s portfolio is the Pro+ variant, which was officially confirmed by Realme Product Marketing Head Francis Wong on X. This marks a departure from Realme’s typical three-model strategy.

The Realme 15 Pro features a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and 6500 nits peak brightness, while the standard Realme 15 includes a flat AMOLED panel with identical brightness and color output. Design elements have also evolved—both phones feature IP69 protection, redesigned square camera modules, and new finishes like Flowing Silver, Velvet Green, and Silk Pink.

Performance is segmented by chipset:

  • MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ powers the standard model
  • Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is reserved for the Pro variant

Both devices run Android 15 and include AI voice-controlled editing, AI party mode, and smart scene recognition—features Realme says are meant to enhance utility, not just novelty.

Battery life has been upgraded as well. Both models come with a 7,000mAh battery (up from 6,000mAh in the 14 Pro), and support 80W fast charging. Storage options now extend up to 512GB in the Pro model, pushing the limits of what a sub-flagship device typically offers.

However, it remains unclear whether the absence of the Pro+ variant signals a long-term shift or is specific to this cycle. Realme has not commented on whether the streamlined approach will extend to future series.

What is clear is that flagship features like high-refresh curved displays, AI software integration, and robust IP ratings are now filtering into the mid-range category—and Realme seems intent on leading that convergence, even if it means altering its traditional product structure.
