Redmi is preparing to make a strong entry into the premium tablet market with its upcoming Redmi K Pad, which is being regarded as the company’s first flagship gaming tablet. Recently, this powerful device appeared on the Geekbench database, revealing several high-end specifications. With its China launch just around the corner, let’s take a closer look at what the Redmi K Pad is expected to offer.

Redmi K Pad Introduction

The Redmi K Pad will be powered by the advanced MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, which is known for delivering top-notch performance. This high-performance processor features an octa-core architecture that includes one ultra-core clocked at 3.73GHz, three performance cores running at 3.30GHz, and four efficiency cores operating at 2.40GHz. Complementing this setup is the Mali-G925 Immortalis MC12 GPU, which is designed to deliver a smooth gaming experience with rich and detailed graphics.

Talking about performance benchmarks, the tablet scored impressively on Geekbench. It managed to achieve a single-core score in the range of 2,700 to 2,750, while the multi-core score was recorded between 8,600 and 8,608. These numbers clearly highlight its flagship-level performance, making it ideal for gamers and power users who demand smooth multitasking and fast performance.

In terms of memory and software, the Redmi K Pad was seen with 16GB of RAM, which ensures it can handle even the most demanding tasks with ease. The tablet will run on Android 15, customized with Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS. This combination promises an optimized, fluid, and user-friendly interface that enhances the overall user experience.

The display of the Redmi K Pad is another standout feature. It will come equipped with an 8.8-inch IPS LCD screen, offering a sharp 3K+ resolution, likely around 1600 x 2500 pixels. Additionally, it supports a 165Hz refresh rate, which means users can expect ultra-smooth scrolling and high-frame-rate gaming. This high refresh rate will particularly appeal to gamers looking for responsiveness and precision.

When it comes to charging and battery, the device supports 67W fast charging, although the exact battery capacity hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, considering this is a gaming tablet, it is expected to house a large battery to support extended usage and intense gaming sessions without interruptions.

The Redmi K Pad is also expected to feature several game-centric enhancements. It may come with dual stereo speakers that provide immersive sound quality, and dual X-axis linear motors to offer enhanced haptic feedback during gameplay. There will also likely be dual USB-C ports, allowing users to connect multiple devices or peripherals at once. One of the more advanced features expected is bypass charging, which enables the device to run directly on power without straining the battery—an essential addition for gamers who play for long hours.

In terms of design, the K Pad will feature a lightweight and compact form factor. Xiaomi has implemented custom weight reduction techniques in the construction of the speakers, vibration motors, and screen assembly, making the tablet easier to carry while maintaining a premium build quality.

Launch and Price Details

As for the price, the Redmi K Pad is expected to be launched in China at a price of around CNY 4,000, which is approximately $557 or ₹47,000. The launch is likely to take place in June 2025, possibly alongside the Redmi K80 Ultra. Although there’s no official confirmation about a global release yet, the tablet might become available in markets like India in the coming months.
