The Redmi K80 Extreme Edition is specially designed for high-performance gaming and multitasking. It is planned to be launched by Xiaomi under the Redmi K80 series. According to information received from various leaks and certifications, this phone may be primarily for the Chinese market, but it could be rebranded as Xiaomi 15T Pro globally.

The Redmi K80 Extreme Edition features a 6.8-inch 1.5K flat OLED display, which provides smooth scrolling and a great gaming experience with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset, which is based on TSMC’s 3nm process. It has an octa-core CPU that includes 1 Cortex-X925 super core, 3 Cortex-X4 super cores, and 4 Cortex-A720 large cores. A powerful GPU is also present for enhanced graphics performance.
Talking about the camera setup, it has a triple rear camera system, which includes a 50MP main sensor (with OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto sensor, all of which support 8K UHD video recording. There is a 50MP selfie camera on the front, suitable for high-quality selfies and video calling.

The K80 Extreme Edition is expected to have a battery with a rated capacity of 7270mAh, which may be marketed as approximately 7500mAh. This is believed to be one of the largest batteries in Redmi’s history. It may support 90W or 100W fast charging, although some leaks also mention 40W charging. Wireless charging is less likely to be available on this device.
In terms of build quality and design, it has a metal frame and a glass back, along with an IP69 rating, making it resistant to dust and water up to 2.5 meters. Additionally, it features an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

This smartphone runs on the HyperOS 2.0 operating system based on Android 15. Connectivity features include 5G support, Bluetooth v5.4, NFC, and an IR blaster. Dual SIM support will also be available.

As far as the launch is concerned, according to leaks, the Redmi K80 Extreme Edition may launch in June or July 2025. It will be launched primarily in the Chinese market, but its global release may come as the Xiaomi 15T Pro. Its model number is 25060RK16C, which has been seen in MIIT certification.

The official price of this smartphone has not been announced yet, but considering the pricing of the Redmi K80 series, this device may be launched at a price of around $350–$400. For now, this device will launch first in China, and its global release is yet to be confirmed.
