Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Full Review: Samsung has finally launched its slimmest flagship smartphone yet — the Galaxy S25 Edge, which had already caught attention this year in January. Essentially a sleeker version of the Galaxy S25 Plus, the S25 Edge offers the same powerful 6.7-inch OLED display, the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset (custom-made for Galaxy), and several advanced AI features. However, to achieve a slim and lightweight design, some compromises had to be made — most notably, the omission of a telephoto camera and a larger battery.

Weighing just 163 grams — the same as the standard Galaxy S25 — and measuring only 5.8mm thick, this is the thinnest Galaxy phone Samsung has ever made. While it’s slightly thicker than foldables like the Z Fold 6 or tablets like the Galaxy Tab S10 due to different battery arrangements, it still holds the crown as the slimmest classic-style Galaxy smartphone available in India. It may not look especially thin in photos, but the moment you hold it, the lightness is instantly noticeable — and that’s when the magic begins.

Despite the slim frame, Samsung hasn’t compromised on durability. The Galaxy S25 Edge features the same strong titanium frame as the S25 Ultra, the latest Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 display, and an IP68 waterproof rating — making it tough and resilient, even in its thin form factor. But there are two key points you should consider: first, the camera. The phone only includes two rear cameras and lacks a telephoto lens. However, Samsung has managed to include the same 200MP primary sensor found in the Ultra model, ensuring top-tier photo quality even with limited zoom capabilities.

The second concern is the battery. The S25 Edge packs a 3,900mAh battery — the smallest in the entire S25 series. In comparison, the standard S25 has a 4,000mAh battery, while the S25 Plus boasts 4,900mAh. Given the large display on this phone, battery backup might be a concern. Samsung claims it can deliver up to 24 hours of video playback, but that’s still 5 hours less than the S25 and 6 hours less than the Plus model.

Thanks to the new chipset and software optimization, even phones with smaller batteries now offer decent endurance. However, questions about long-term battery performance are bound to arise. Samsung is offering 7 years of software and security updates for this device too, but the smaller battery may remain a concern for many.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Expected Price in India
Surprisingly, despite these feature cuts, Samsung has priced the S25 Edge higher than the S25 Plus. The 256GB variant is priced at $1,099.99 (approximately ₹91,000), while the 512GB variant is $1,219.99 (around ₹1,01,000). This puts it right between the S25 Plus and S25 Ultra in terms of pricing.
All in all, this phone isn’t made for everyone. Much like Samsung’s foldables which prioritize form over function, the S25 Edge is crafted for those who value style and a slim design. To Samsung’s credit, they’ve managed to pack a lot of Ultra-level features into such a thin body — but sacrifices in camera versatility and battery life can’t be ignored. If you’re someone who prioritizes sleek design over features like a big battery or telephoto lens, the Galaxy S25 Edge could be a stylish and premium option for you.
