If you are planning to buy a premium flagship phone, wait a bit because Samsung is preparing to launch its next Ultra smartphone the Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to leaks and insider reports, this phone will be thinner, smarter, and much more powerful than before. The launch is expected to take place at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 25 February 2026. Let’s know everything about its design, display, performance, and camera.
Design and Display
Talking about the design, Samsung is focusing on a refined and premium look this time. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be just 7.9mm thin and weigh around 217 grams. The camera design will also get a fresh change — instead of separate rings, the phone will have a single oval-shaped camera module that gives a more unified and clean appearance.
The phone will feature a 6.9-inch QHD Dynamic AMOLED display with M14 OLED material and CoE (Color-on-Encapsulation) technology. Because of this, the display will be thinner, brighter, and more power efficient. The peak brightness could go above 3000 nits, making it one of the brightest screens ever made by Samsung. The display will be protected with third-generation Gorilla Armor Glass, offering better durability and anti-reflective protection.
There are also reports about a new “Flex Magic Pixel” smart privacy display, which automatically narrows viewing angles using AI when someone tries to look at your screen from the side.
Processor and Performance
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with two different chipsets depending on the region. The U.S. variant will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 “For Galaxy” processor, built on a 3nm process and capable of reaching speeds close to 5GHz.
In Europe and South Korea, Samsung will use its in-house Exynos 2600 chip. This chip is based on Samsung’s advanced 2nm GAA process and early tests suggest it might even outperform Apple’s A19 Pro. The phone will also include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for lightning-fast performance. Whether you’re gaming, multitasking, or editing videos, the S26 Ultra is designed to handle everything smoothly.
Camera Setup
Talking about the camera, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 200MP main sensor with major upgrades. Samsung could either use a wider f/1.4 aperture for better low-light shots or a larger 1/1.1-inch Sony sensor to capture more light and detail.
The 3x telephoto lens is expected to get an upgrade from 10MP to 12MP, resulting in cleaner, more detailed zoom images. The ultra-wide and periscope 5x lenses will remain similar, but the improved Image Signal Processor in the new chipset will unlock 8K HDR10+ video recording at 60fps.

Battery and Charging
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will house a 5000mAh battery, but it’s said to perform more efficiently thanks to the new processors and display. The major highlight this year will be 60W fast wired charging — a big jump from the previous 45W standard.
In addition, Samsung might introduce a new AI-powered “Network Battery Saver” mode that smartly limits background network usage to extend battery life. The phone will run on Android 16 with One UI 8.5, featuring deep Galaxy AI and Google Gemini integration for smarter tools like AI photo editing, live translation, and notification summaries.
