Xiaomi 17 series, launched on 2025 September 25th in China, is currently the talk of the town in China. Today, Lu Weibing, Group Partner and President of the Mobile Department, revealed that sales of the Xiaomi 17 series during this year’s National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays increased by more than 20% compared to the previous generation. Sales of the Xiaomi 17 Pro model exceeded expectations, and stock is being restocked rapidly. Meanwhile, demand for the standard version is also steadily increasing.
Lu Weibing revealed that a new 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant of the Xiaomi 17 is now on sale, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen5 (Extreme Edition) chipset and a 7000mAh battery. It is priced at 5299 yuan in China.
Xiaomi 17 Series Display
Xiaomi 17 features a stunning 6.3-inch LTPO OLED flat display, and the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max models feature larger 2K resolution AMOLED panels. They also feature a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The new series features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen5 Extreme Edition chipset, which is based on a 5nm architecture and is designed for smooth gaming performance.
Xiaomi 17 Series Camera
Xiaomi 17 Series All models feature a Leica-co-engineered triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto or periscope lens. It also supports 5x optical zoom and 4K video recording. The front of the phone features a 50MP selfie camera, which supports AI beauty mode and HDR video recording.
Xiaomi 17 Series Battery & Charging
Xiaomi 17 features a powerful 7000mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max features a more powerful 7500mAh battery. Both models support 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The company claims that this can charge the phone to 100% in just 25 minutes.
Xiaomi 17 Series RAM & ROM
Xiaomi 17 Series phones have been launched in China with 12GB/16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage. Other features include IP68 water and dust resistance, a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C 3.0 high-speed port, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos support, running on HyperOS-based Android 15.
Xiaomi 17 Series Launch Date and Price In India
According to social media reports, the Xiaomi 17 series could launch in India in early 2026 (January-February). The company is expected to introduce the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Pro models in the Indian market. However, an official announcement has not yet been made. According to media reports, the India version will likely have similar design and features to the Chinese model, with slight differences in network banding and pricing.
Xiaomi 17 Series initial variants included 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB, after which the company also added a 16GB + 1TB model.
