Ramesh Bidhuri Apologizes for Controversial Remark on Priyanka Gandhi
New Delhi – Ramesh Bidhuri, former BJP MP and now the party’s candidate for the Kalkaji seat, has apologized for his controversial remark about Priyanka Gandhi. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he clarified that his statement had been misunderstood by some and used for political gain on social media. He emphasized that his intention was never to insult anyone, and if his words caused any distress, he expressed regret.
The Controversy
The controversy erupted when Ramesh Bidhuri, during a BJP event in Kalkaji, made a remark comparing the roads of the area to Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks. This statement sparked a political storm, with both Congress and Aam Aadmi Party leaders criticizing him. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi questioned the BJP’s stance on women’s safety, stating that if such disrespectful remarks were made by a BJP leader, it raised concerns about how the party would ensure women’s security.
@JPNadda @Virend_Sachdeva @PandaJay @ANI…

Opposition’s Reaction
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate also condemned Bidhuri’s statement, accusing the BJP of being a woman-opposing party. She argued that his comment reflected the mentality of both Bidhuri and the BJP as a whole, calling attention to the party’s character.
