Samsung is set to launch its next foldable flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, in July. Even before the launch, the smartphone has already been listed on the Wireless Power Consortium.

This confirms that it will support the Qi 2.1.0 wireless charging standard — an upgrade over the previous generation Galaxy Z Fold6.

However, it does not support Qi2’s best feature — Magnetic Power Profile (MPP), which enables the use of magnetic charging accessories.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 will feature an 8.2-inch main folding display and a 6.5-inch outer secondary display. This new foldable will have a slimmer design than ever before — just 4.5mm thick when fully opened.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 does support the Qi 2.1.0 standard, but it only supports 5W wireless charging under the Basic Power Profile (BPP).

The Galaxy Z Fold7 will feature a powerful camera setup that includes a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 is expected to launch in July 2025, with a starting price of $1,899 (approximately ₹1,58,000). However, the lack of magnetic features may disappoint some users.
